چکیده
In this study, five bobbin tools with different shoulder fillet radii were employed for the tool friction stir welding (BT-FSW) of A1050-O sheets to systematically evaluate effects radius on defect formation, flash weld thickness, grain size zone, and tensile properties. The quality classifications joints' appearance summarized as process windows, appropriate condition range each was clarified. It observed that an increase in decreased defects formation; however, it increased minimum thickness except when 0.5 mm. zone increasing from mm 6 ultimate strength (UTS) 1 mm, 3 remained constant results indicate a larger than is effective decreasing formation maintaining thickness.

Tool Geometry for Friction Stir Welding—Optimum Shoulder Diameter
The most important geometric parameter in the friction stir welding (FSW) tool design is the shoulder diameter, which is currently estimated by trial and error. Here, we report a combined experimental and theoretical investigation on the influence of shoulder diameter on thermal cycles, peak temperatures, power requirements, and torque during FSW of AA7075-T6. An optimum tool shoulder diameter ...
متن کاملEffect of Tool Shoulder and Pin Cone Angles in Friction Stir Welding using Non-circular Tool Pin
In friction stir welding frictional heat is generated by the rotating tool, sliding over the stationary plate along the weld centre. Tool being the only source of heat producing member, its geometrical design influences the heat generation rate. In this present work, effects of variation in tool shoulder and tool pin taper angles on thermal history during joining are analysed. Tools with triang...
